Having been to counseling herself and familiar with the place of vulnerability, Colleen values the importance of a comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere. At the heart of her work, she seeks to create a safe environment in which clients can feel at ease while working through life’s difficulties. Her specialty is working with women and adolescents struggling with anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Melyssa Allen
Melyssa AllenRegistered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Melyssa previously worked as an animal trainer before attending graduate school to pursue mental health counseling and has volunteered. Volunteered as a Pet Therapy team with her dog, Buddy, over the past four years. However, Melyssa finds fulfillment in helping others through difficulties and uses a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy. Although, Melyssa works with clients to identify their strengths and sets therapy goals with clients. However, that simultaneously helps them build confidence in their abilities while challenging them to grow. Allison Petro
Allison PetroLicensed Mental Health Counselor
Allison is passionate about encouraging and assisting her clients to live life to their fullest potential. She believes that humans are resilient and can overcome the obstacles before them with the proper tools, support, and mindset. In addition, to talk therapy, Allison uses creative arts therapies (art, music, play therapy, etc.). TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with children or adolescents. And EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) to help her clients explore their feelings. Also, behaviors, and inner dialogue. Her goal for each client is to help him/her develop coping skills.
